Farm Fest, a free online directory of Agritourism destinations across the U.S. and Canada, has initiated an advocacy campaign designed to educate consumers and decision makers about the importance of farms opening this fall. “Their Dont Fail Our Farms” campaign describes the challenges that family farms face with changing regulations relating to COVID.
The campaign includes creative messaging, graphics, and video content that is designed to inform and educate the public about the importance of family farm destinations.
Here is a direct quote from the campaign:
“Farmers are the backbone to America. They spend all year planning, planting, and praying. Many depend on their fall Agritourism season in the same way that retailers depend on Christmas. Some politicians across the nation have tried to limit public access to these wide open safe spaces. Farm destinations offer acres of winding corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and other family friendly outdoor exploration that are both safe and greatly needed in a detached world full of digital screens. Agritourism is not only an opportunity for these hardworking farmers to allow people to escape and enjoy God’s creation, but it’s also a source of life, income and a means for our farms. It is a blessing that these farmers can share their land with millions of people across our great nation. Without agritourism, thousands of our family owned farms may not make it. Consider sharing, and be sure to visit one of these family farms this fall. #DONTFAILOURFARM”
Fall farms 👨🌾, pumpkin patches 🎃, corn mazes 🌽, and orchards 🍎 are opening across the country! We need these fun and safe spaces more than ever. 🚜♥️ #DONTFAILOURFARMS
